The sheep eat a lot of seaweed and kelp, and the wind blows salt into the wool. These special conditions result in beautifully white, soft wool.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWe dye the yarn pink with cochineal. We have about 13-26 skeins per dye bath, and all the  are marked with batch number. We always send colors from the same dyelot per order.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOur yarn is washed well after dyeing so that most of the excess color is gone, and it will not transfer color to other parts of the product or other garments. However, it is still good to be careful not to leave the product wet for too long, especially if it is knitted together with lighter colors.
