We get the black wool from the white sheep that occasionally turn black and brown. Since there are not enough black sheep like this here in Lofoten, Fatland Ull has collected the best black wool from the whole region for us. There is often mostly lamb's wool in this yarn so it is light and soft.

IMPORTANT: The yarn contains sheep fat (lanolin) and dust from the sheep, so after a light wool wash it becomes softer, whiter and airier. Always knit a test patch - wash and dry it before you calculate the number of needles and stitches before starting a large project.
