This is a totally new color in this yarn quality.

A mix of black lambswool and adult wool from Old Norse Sheep reared on Vestvågøy in Lofoten. The super soft, warm bottom wool is carded together with the stiffer, more durable fibers of the upper coat, resulting in a thick, robust yarn that produces dense sweaters, mittens, slippers and more.

The yarn contains sheep fat (lanolin) and becomes softer and airier after a gentle wool wash. Some loose wool hair will appear after the first wash. You should knit a sample patch, wash and dry it and then measure / calculate the number of stitches / pin thickness before larger projects.

This is ‘vintage’ yarn and each year has as its own unique character. The clip from 2023 is now for sale.

This yarn has the same thickness as SAND, SKY, STORM, FULL STORM og JORD, ROGN, SNØ and MOSE.
