Sheep's snout is the yarn SAND dyed with madder root. Wool from Hvit spælsau consists of shiny cover hairs that protect the sheep from weather and wind, and a soft and warm bottom wool. Both of these fiber types are carded together and spun into yarn. It produces a golden, warm and robust yarn that is well suited for sweaters and mittens.

Some loose wool hairs will appear after the first wash. You should knit a test piece, wash and dry it and then measure/calculate the number of stitches/needle thickness before larger projects.

Same thickness as SAND, STORM, FULL STORM, MOSE (moss), JORD (soil), SNØ (snow) and ROGN (roy).

Lofoten Wool turns 10 in 2024, and we will celebrate it with lots of fun. Throughout the year, we launch several new colors of both spæl sheep yarn and White sheep wool yarn, as well as new knitting packages. Stay tuned!
