I FJÆRA, sweater knitting kit
In the shore you often find a lot of strange things. Here, several different ornaments are gathered on a white base of the spælsau yarn SAND. Wool from white spælsau consists of shiny cover hairs that protect the sheep from weather and wind, and a soft and warm core wool. Both of these fiber types are carded together and spun into yarn. It produces a golden, warm and robust yarn that is well suited for sweaters!
The pattern color is in the same type of yarn, either sheep dyed or plant dyed; spælsau or wild sheep; such as SAND, STORM, FULL STORM, MOSE, JORD and SNØ.
A very airy but still warm and cozy sweater. It is quick and easy to knit, and is knitted from the bottom up.
Some loose wool hairs will appear after the first wash. You should knit a test piece, wash and dry it and then measure/calculate the number of stitches/needle thickness before larger projects.
Design: Ragnhild Lie, highly inspired by Færøy knitting traditions.
