RAKEL, sweater in Old Norse wool, knitting kit
Sweater knitted in double coated yarn from Old Norse sheep or Spæl sheep here in Lofoten. The sweater is light and breathes well. It is good and warm, robust and decorative. It suits people of all ages.
The Rakel sweater was launched in January 2024 in connection with the film SAU which is about a small farm in Nordland that will pass to the next generation, from father to daughter. The film is directed by Rebekka Nystabakk with her sister Rakel Nystabakk and the sheep Ståle in the main roles. The measurements are taken on the finished knitted garment after washing, and are measured on the outside of the garment from the armpit. Remember that the garment is very elastic and malleable.
